Lounge Café & Games Room, One Address
Play Lounge pairs a polished lounge café with a private games room. The café on the ground floor, the club room one level up — for guests who care about detail and the company they keep.
Here the evening matters, not the stakes: on-site entertainment in Canberra, fair play at the table and entry strictly from 18.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Lounge Café open to walk-ins?
Yes, the ground-floor café is open to adult guests without a booking. For the club room upstairs we ask for a reservation, so we can manage numbers and give everyone enough space.
Are high stakes played at the club?
Our club focuses on the friendly, sporting side of the game. We see poker as a mind sport and a reason to meet, not as commercial gambling. We discuss the exact conditions in person on your first visit.
How do I become a Play Lounge member?
We ask for a short introduction and agreement to the house rules during your first visit to our room at 312 London Circuit. In that chat we'll walk you through the packages and the schedule of upcoming evenings.

Contact & IntroductionService at the highest level
We work with proven suppliers and a menu that stays small but right, so every cup and every dish supports the evening. Every part of the service follows fixed routines we check daily.

Polished
We tailor our offering to the guests of the evening, allowing for the length of the visit and the size of the party. That way quality stays consistent even on busy nights.
We don't do rigid standard packages, because every party asks for something different. Before a private evening we always talk through the setup, so you don't pay for what you don't need.
We welcome small parties and large groups alike. Our team has years of hospitality experience, with training at trade schools at home and abroad.
Hospitality and strategy at one address
The idea grew from the belief that care for a good café and the joy of playing together share the same denominator — the search for something that simply works.
Café & Small Menu
Our café team works with fresh ingredients, a small menu and a wide selection of coffee, tea and lemonades, in a room designed for conversation.

Poker Club
A polished room with full-size gaming tables, a lounge area and lighting that supports concentration. Play as a mind sport and a reason to meet.
Poker Club
A private poker club in the heart of Canberra
The club side of Play Lounge is a haven for players who value classic etiquette and a professional setting. The room is fitted with full-size poker tables, an ergonomic lounge area and focused lighting that supports concentration through long sessions.
The interior is finished in dark timber and velvet, a nod to the best traditions of British clubs. The acoustics allow conversation without raised voices, and the service looks after guests' comfort all evening.
We're not a public casino. We're the meeting place of a circle for whom the game is above all a mind sport and a reason to connect. It's also the right place for private corporate evenings or tournaments among friends.
A skilled team and a spacious lounge area
The Play Lounge team is made up of people with years of experience, trained at trade schools at home and abroad. On the club side we work with hosts who know the rules in detail and keep every hand running smoothly.
Our staff's knowledge and manners are the foundation we build our relationship with guests on. We make sure every part of the visit is right — from precision behind the counter to discreet service at the table.
For our regulars we keep a generous menu of drinks and snacks that make the evening pleasant. The lounge area has comfortable armchairs and fast wifi, so you can unwind between games.

Safety, hygiene and confidentiality
In the café and the games room alike, our guests' discretion comes first. The building on London Circuit is monitored around the clock, and only registered guests or those with a reservation can enter the separate zones.
Confidentiality of data and images
Your details and your privacy are safe with us. Only guests we know or who hold a reservation have access to the zones. That makes Play Lounge a place where people feel at ease.
Cleanliness as a condition
In the café, cleanliness is the baseline for quality. We give the club room the same care — regular cleaning of cards and chips and good ventilation are standard here.
Central Canberra
We're in the middle of Canberra, easy to reach from the whole region. Parking stations within walking distance take the hassle out of parking in this part of the city.
Theme nights and private events
Play Lounge offers more than a fixed program: recurring evenings connect both sides of our house. We host themed evenings in the café combined with small tournaments in the club room.
It's the occasion to swap experiences between lovers of good hospitality and the card game. Every gathering is private — places are limited.
Full scheduleAn invitation to our circle
Play Lounge is more than a business — it's a company of people who look for quality in every detail. Come visit us in person, taste the atmosphere and talk through your plans for an evening with us.
We're open to new contacts and long-term partnerships with enthusiasts. On your first visit we ask for a short introduction and agreement to the club's house rules.
For those not after mass entertainment
Play Lounge is a special address in Canberra. We combine two things that demand full attention and high standards — polished hospitality and the strategic game at the table. Our spot at 312 London Circuit is no accident: it's a space made for guests who care about detail, privacy and the company they keep.
Under one roof we offer a lounge café and a polished club room. While the evening warms up at the café downstairs, upstairs a game is played that calls for cool heads and analytical thinking. Together they make a whole for guests who expect more from a night out.
Our guests often use both sides of the house. You can start with a drink and a small plate in the lounge and join a table in the club room later in the evening. The building is secure and calm, so you can focus on your company.
